Your career is not our product
Your resume contains where you have worked, what you earn, where you live, and who you know. That is some of the most personal data you own — and a lot of companies in this industry treat it as inventory. We do not.
What we do
- Store your documents so you can come back to them, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Use your resume content to generate the suggestions you explicitly ask for, in that session.
- Measure product usage — which features are used, where people get stuck — to decide what to build.
- Let you export everything you have made, in full, whenever you want.
- Delete your account and its contents when you ask us to.
What we never do
- Sell your personal data to anyone, for any price.
- Share your resume, contact details, or job search activity with recruiters or employers.
- Train public AI models on your resume content.
- Add you to a candidate database or a talent marketplace.
- Email your data to third parties for marketing.
Why the business model matters more than the promise
Any company can write a privacy promise. What makes one credible is whether the company would lose money by keeping it.
We make money from Pro subscriptions — people paying $9 to $12 a month for unlimited documents and templates. That is the whole model. There is no recruiter product, no candidate marketplace, and no advertising business that would benefit from knowing where you are applying. Selling your data would not be a betrayal of our stated values so much as a pivot into a different company.
Read the full legal detail in the privacy policy and the cookie policy. This page is the plain-English version; those are the binding ones.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell my data?
No. Not to recruiters, not to data brokers, not to advertisers. Our revenue comes from Pro subscriptions, which means the business does not depend on monetising your career history — and that is the only durable reason to trust any privacy claim.
Will recruiters see my resume?
Only if you send it to them. NavPeer is a tool for making documents, not a candidate marketplace. We do not have a recruiter product, we do not list your profile anywhere, and nobody can browse for you.
Do you train AI on my resume?
No. Your content is sent to the AI provider only to fulfil the specific request you made — generating a bullet, drafting a summary — and is not used to train public models. Nothing about your career is baked into a model that other people query.
What happens if I delete my account?
Your documents and personal data are deleted. Some records are retained where we are legally required to keep them, such as billing records for tax purposes — that is a legal obligation rather than a business preference, and it does not include your resume content.
Are you GDPR compliant?
Yes. You have the right to access, export, correct, and delete your data, and you can exercise all of those from Settings or by contacting support. The full legal detail is in our privacy policy.
