How to use the result
Start with the quantification score
If fewer than half your bullets contain a number, that is the fastest improvement available. Volume, money, time, percentage, or headcount — most work has at least one of them.
Check your verbs
Bullets beginning with "responsible for" or "assisted with" describe a job description. Bullets beginning with a past-tense action verb describe what you did.
Treat length as a symptom
A three-page resume at four years' experience usually means duties are being listed rather than achievements. Cutting is normally an improvement, not a sacrifice.

How is the score calculated?
It weighs section structure, action-verb usage, how many bullets carry a quantified result, length relative to typical norms, and parser-safety signals. It is deterministic — the same resume always scores the same.
What is the difference between this and the ATS checker?
This grades your resume on its own. The ATS checker grades it against a specific job description. Use this one first to fix the fundamentals, then the ATS checker per application.
My score is low but I get interviews. Does it matter?
If your applications are working, they are working — referrals and direct contacts bypass most of this. The score matters most for cold applications through careers portals, where nothing else is advocating for you.
